I welcome you to the 19^th annual scientific meeting and conference of the Paediatric Orthopaedic Society of India. The organising committee has strived hard to put together a wonderful scientific programme.

We are delighted to have guest speakers from USA, Europe, Australia and UK. Apart from sharing their knowledge, I believe this is a great opportunity for our guests to foster friendship and a closer association with the members of POSI.

For the first time we are having the formal representation of British Society for Children's Orthopaedic Surgery (BSCOS) at our meeting though individual members of BSCOS have attended some of our earlier meetings. We extend a very warm welcome to our guests from UK and we hope that their participation at our meetings will become a regular feature in future.

I am sure that each delegate will benefit from the meeting in more ways than one. I wish each and every delegate a meaningful and enjoyable stay at Ahmedabad.

The organising team along with office bearers and senior members of POSI has crafted a wonderful scientific program for you all. For the first time in POSI meeting paediatric upper limb problems are taking centre stage. We have great faculty from across the globe to share their knowledge, wisdom and experience.

This year we are lucky to have luminaries like Dr. Alvin Crawford (Past President, SRS), Dr. James Robb (President BSCOS) and Dr. Peter Waters (Imm. Past President, POSNA) and many more.

We are not keeping any stones unturned to make your stay in Ahmedabad very comfortable and most memorable. We invite orthopaedic surgeons from all over India to Ahmedabad, which is recently declared the 'Best city to live'. This academic festival of POSI will bring along with it great learning, taste of Gujarati hospitality and opportunity of fellowship with friends and International Paediatric Orthopaedic fraternity.
