Advanced Cerebral Palsy Management

Aims / Objectives:

This course is designed for practitioners who manage complex musculoskeletal problems, such as hip dysplasia and crouch gait, in children with cerebral palsy. Comprehensive management of neuromuscular hip dysplasia, from screening guidelines to proactive / reactive surgery strategies will be considered. Identification and management of crouch gait will focus on pathomechanics and surgical dosing to optimize clinical decision making and outcomes following surgery. The course format will be both didactic and case-based, with time for discussion of principles and practices.
