Aim
This ICL is designed for the general orthopedist as well as the pediatric/adolescent hip specialist. Hip preservation surgery includes a wide range of patients to manage from hip instability to femoroacetabular impingement. This is a relatively common condition presenting to us in the pediatric/adolescent age period requiring a thorough evaluation of the patient’s symptoms, physical examination, plain radiography and advanced imaging where appropriate. This ICL will address the appropriate evaluation of the patient, and will specifically address the surgical treatment options available to address these patients. The indications and specific technical aspect of the procedures (including video) will be specifically discussed and how these apply to patient management will be outlined with specific case examples
