LEARNING OBJECTIVES
  • Objective 1 : To discuss and understand that pathologies in children are different from those in adults and that treatment strategies used in adults may not necessarily be extrapolated to children.

    Objective 2 : To understand newer developments in the field of Paediatric Orthopaedics as they relate to congenital & developmental anomalies, trauma, infection, metabolic disorders, sports medicine, spine problems & tumours.

    Objective 3 : To understand decision-making in a variety of Paediatric Orthopaedic conditions so that 'the decision is more important than the incision'.

    Objective 4 : To pick up at least 3 new surgical techniques that will be useful in clinical practice.

    Objective 5 : To understand the impact of advances in basic science on future paediatric orthopaedic practice.

ACCREDITATION AND CONTINUING MEDICAL EDUCATION
  • The Maharashtra Medical Council has awarded 6 CME credit points for participating in POSICON 2019. Attendees should claim only the credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the academic activity.

    POSI / POSICON 2019 cannot be held liable for any hindrance or disruption of the conference arising from natural, political, social or economic events or other unforeseen incidents beyond its control.

    Registration of a participant implies acceptance of this condition.

  • English will be official language of POSICON 2019
NO SMOKING POLICY
  • Smoking is not permitted anywhere in the conference venue except at designated smoking areas
NO STILL OR VIDEO PHOTOGRAPHY
  • Still cameras & video cameras are not permitted during the scientific sessions. No reproduction of any kind including photos, audio, videos is permitted during the conference. POSI reserves its rights to such material and commercial reproduction is specifically prohibited.
SPEAKER READY ROOM
  • A 'Speaker Ready Area' / Preview Room will be available at the conference venue .

POSICON 2019 HAS A STANDARD ROOM SET-UP FOR THE SCIENTIFIC SESSIONS AS FOLLOWS

    • Presentation Screen
    • Mouse Pointer
    • Microphones

    POSICON 2019 requires all electronic presentations to be made using the central computer system. No personal laptops will be allowed.

E-POSTER DISPLAY
  • E-Poster stands, which consist of a mouse and a 42” plasma screen, will be placed in a designated poster area. The e-Posters will be loaded into each computer with a directory / menu of all posters available.

PRINTED DISPLAY
  • POSICON 2019 will provide poster boards to mount printed displays. The boards are vertical and will be mounted on legs and be self-standing. Presenters will need to use double-sided tape when hanging your poster. The poster boards will be located in a separate area at the conference venue. The boards will be numbered corresponding to the Printed Display Number.

    Printed display set-up: Thursday, 3rd January 2019, 7.00 am onwards

    Printed display take down: Sunday, 6th January, 1.00 pm onwards

VIDEO PRESENTATIONS
  • POSICON 2019 requires all video presentations to be uploaded at the conference venue on Thursday, 3rd January between 07:00 hours - 10:00 hours.
